Wrexham Miners Project to Support First Terry Fox Run in Wrexham

We are thrilled to announce that the Wrexham Miners Project will be supporting the inaugural Terry Fox Run in Wrexham, set to take place on Sunday, 13th October 2024. This marks the first time the global charity event will be held in Wrexham, as we unite with communities worldwide to raise funds for cancer research.

The Terry Fox Run is an international event inspired by Canadian cancer research advocate Terry Fox, whose Marathon of Hope continues to inspire millions. The run is non-competitive and open to all, encouraging participants to either walk, run, or jog in solidarity with those affected by cancer.

A particularly exciting aspect of this year’s Wrexham event is the backing of Ryan Reynolds, the co-owner of Wrexham AFC and a global supporter of the Terry Fox Foundation. Reynolds’ advocacy for the cause has helped bring attention to this important initiative, and his connection with Wrexham continues to strengthen ties between the local community and worldwide charitable efforts.

At the Wrexham Miners Project, we are proud to be part of this meaningful event, and we invite everyone to join us on the day to support this vital cause.

Let’s run together for a future without cancer!
